This week at AI Expo Africa - Africa’s Premier AI & Autonomous Enterprise Event, the #AISkillsCoalition launched its first series of Africa-specific training sessions, a major step in bringing hands-on, practice-oriented AI learning directly to local educators, innovators, and digital professionals. Organized as part of #AIforGood Impact Africa, these workshops focus on applied #skills and responsible, inclusive approaches to technology development. Together with partners across the continent, they aim to strengthen regional expertise and long-term capacity for AI-driven growth and social impact.

Defining rest in my own way

I have been on a journey of rest for close to a year and a half (18 months in human cycle speak). In true African Black woman fashion, rest came as a response to the constant demand to be present, useful, and helpful—all at the cost of self. I am redesigning my life to keep burnout at bay because, truth be told, I love being those things, but I'm calling a halt to the expense of self.

Rest Without Reason: A Radical Act of Self-Preservation
